Kat & José’s garden wedding and Rock the dress photoshoot in Santiago Province, in the Dominican Countryside, was as cool and full of adventure as it gets.
And if you are thinking on a destination wedding on the Dominican Republic, and you are adventurous and would like to explore out of the usual Punta Cana or the touristy area, let us know, we love this beautiful half island and know some corners that would take your breath away, and we would love to show them to you!
For José and Kat’ newlywed’s photoshoot, we went to The Saltos of Jima waterfalls. A group of twelve beautiful cascades and natural spas that stand out due to the incredible beauty in its virgin landscapes. The Jima Waterfalls were declared Natural Monument in August 2009 to preserve and acknowledge its great aquiferous importance and the area’s biodiversity.
Even though nowadays it is only possible to visit waterfalls 1 and 2, several tour companies organize hiking activities to these impressive cascades. These tours are unique and traverse an area packed with exotic flora and fauna. If you are visiting such a beautiful and diverse country as it is our Dominican Republic we invite you to get out of your all-inclusive hotel even for one day and get to know all the richness that this land can offer you.
